Senior Fund Accountant

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role at one of our client’s office for a Senior Fund Accountant in Luxembourg. The Senior Fund Accountant will be responsible for daily fund accounting tasks including Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and reviews.
Daily Responsibilities
- Calculation of Net Asset Valuations (NAV) of assigned Funds adhering to specified deadlines
- Understand complex fund structures and accounting principles related to alternative asset classes like real estate, private equity, private debt investment vehicles.
- Maintaining general ledgers for a portfolio of allocated clients in both Private Equity and Real Estate (PERE) Funds
- Control the consistency of the valuation received and used for underlying assets.
- Timely and accurate processing / reconciling of all fund transactions.
- Participate in regulatory reporting as required.
- Preparation of financial statements and participation in audit requests.
- Monitor the pre-requisite tasks for daily NAV production process such as Corporate Action, Trade Capture, and Reconciliation
- Invoice processing and monitoring of cash movements
- Review and analysis of NAV calculated by third parties service providers.
- Responsible for preparing reporting under relevant GAAP (LUXGAAP, IFRS or USGAAP)
- Responsible for the completion of annual and interim audit requests both from internal and external parties.
Your Profile
- A minimum of Bachelor’s or Master Degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience
- Banking and financial services experience is required
- Demonstrated excellent, in-dept, and hands-on knowledge of accounting software and processes preferably in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
- Fluency in English and French is required
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with an adaptable and collaborative style.
- Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced excel formulas, graphs, etc.).
- Proficiency with MS office Suite
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and resource allocation
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is beneficial
- Excellent ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English; knowledge of French or German is beneficial
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team to meet client deadlines and deliverables
