Senior Depositary Analyst
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Luxembourg for a Senior Depositary Analyst. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and providing support for investment managers at clients offices and also perform independent oversight functions and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily cash-flow monitoring in line with UCITS and AIFM Directive as it relates to Depositary
- Oversight duties on: NAV calculation, Subscriptions/Redemptions, Investment Compliance, Income Distribution and timely settlement of transactions review and validation
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory depositary requirements related to safekeeping and record-keeping of assets (including ownership verification, reconciliation, and look -through monitoring)
- Pro-active management of client issues ensuring timely closure of breaches, errors and other significant matters affecting the Funds and escalate when necessary
- Partake in due diligence and on-site visits to fund administrators and investment managers.
- Prepare and send Depositary reports to Management Companies, AIFMs as per agreed SLAs
- Update legal entities due diligence tracker and support the risk assessment process
- Have a good knowledge of the depositary function with focus on Private Equity and Real estate funds
- Carryout initial and periodic due diligences on the Investment Fund Managers and their delegates.
- Monitor regulatory changes and adapt internal due diligence documents accordingly.
- Ensure all Fiduciary and Depositary requirements are met
- Sound knowledge of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and the Depositary function within the Luxembourg and EU Funds industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in depositary, fund administration, or auditing
- Strong understanding of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and other relevant regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Fluency in English and French is required. Any additional language is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
