SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST – FINANCE

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Business Analyst – Finance in Luxembourg. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for tasks related to business analysis, communication, business processes, and business requirements within the financial sector.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth evaluation of new and existing business processes, systems, and industry standards with key stakeholders (Operations, Product, Business Change) and recommend / design solutions.
- Define Business Impact Assessment for key changes.
- Support and coordinate the delivery of IT and business process changes
- Define Target Operating Models, to include detailed Fund Accounting and Transfer Agency Operating Memorandum
- Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Review regulatory requirements to establish if and where they may impact on the new / amended systems, processes, and procedures.
- Business knowledge of documentation type and purpose. Data analysis and Excel modelling skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing and support business users in executing the user acceptance testing
- Conduct analysis to identify emerging risks and issues
- Draft Process Flows, user journeys and Activity Diagrams
- Serve as an interface between business and technical teams to analyze and document business requirements and processes
- Preparing and providing trainings on new processes/functions to Operations and Functional units, and to any other business lines, as needed;
- Supporting project managers in building project plans, analyzing and mitigating project risks and issues, and ensuring timely completion of quality deliverables
- Experience using Jira and working knowledge of Scrum / Kanban methodologies is preferable
- Support new client and fund launches and on-boarding in coordination with the BAU teams.
- Managing Change implementation on daily basis and ensuring that their objectives are meet.
- Certification in Business Process Model and Notation will be an asset.
- Manage release build up and creation of release run book and test files
- Coordinate weekend release activities for scheduled functionality deployment
- Build and maintain relationships with keys stakeholders such as Product, Client Operations, Technology, Reconciliation, Compliance and Technology
- Experience using Jira and working knowledge of Scrum / Kanban methodologies is preferable
- Experienced with the various asset types such as equities, fixed income, certificates, ETDs, OTCs, ETFs.
- Assist with business readiness preparation for all initiatives and new business onboarding including the completion of procedures, checklists and user guides.
- Experience using Jira and working knowledge of Scrum / Kanban methodologies is preferable
- Relevant experience in business analysis, design, change and implementation on complex projects across countries or regions
- Overall financial services industry knowledge with specific functional expertise
- Extensive experience in requirements gathering and design activities with a mix of business, operations, and technology focused projects
- Strong analytical, process improvement and conceptual mindset
- Implementing solutions connected to external fund distribution platforms for transaction and processing.
Your Profile
- Project experience and have been involved in managing / implementing change into Operations Teams
- Proficiency in using Microsoft packages particularly Excel. Knowledge of VBA and other programming languages would be beneficial but not essential.
- Experience in Cross-border payment processing, SWIFT standards, ISO 20022 XML messages, ACH payment processing, Cheque processing, clearing and settlement schema, Nostro reconciliation and payment processing involving automated FX, AML, Sanctions screening, payment regulations including PSD2, EU FTR & Travel Rule is preferable
- Experience in working with Clarity/ JIRA/ MS Office/Visio
- Experience with Multifonds
- you have detailed knowledge about the end-to-end TM process and AML/CTF area.
- fluency in English both written and spoken, French or German are a plus
- Business Analysis Certifications (CBAP/CCBA) are an advantage
